100 grm butter
100 grm brown sugar
2 tablespoons of golden syrup (from the AH, beside the jams!)
1 generous pinch of salt
200 grams oats

Preheat the oven to 180 and line a square tin with baking paper.

Put everything except the oats into a pan, and allow to melt slowly, stirring all the time over a low heat until it bubbles and forms toffee. Add the oats and stir. Press the mixture into the tin and bake in the oven for around 15 minutes, until it begins to go just a little brown. Remove from the oven and cut into squares while still hot.
